BTS: We Don’t Hesitate When it Comes to Advances in Communications Technology

Sometimes it can be utterly confounding to think about the advances in communications technology that have occurred even in just the last decade. There is now a dependence on being connected and staying connected that pushes the evolution of technology forward at a dizzying pace. While most focus on keeping up with top of the line equipment and gadgets, few think of the behind-the-scenes advances in communications technology that keeps the progression going.

For example, the need to transmit more data has grown from measuring bandwidths and speeds from 1, 5, 10 or even 100Mbps to 1Gbps to 10Gbps. Consider what this means when it comes to configuring network infrastructures that can handle this demand! Then, about the time we are ready to marvel at something considered state-of-the-art, more advances in communications technology come along making it yesterday’s news.

When a business expects to not only stay connected but keep up with newer technologies, there needs to be critical consideration for the network infrastructure that will support its needs. With advances in communications technology constantly changing the landscape, those considerations need to focus not only on the present but the future as well. Trying to save money now can cost much more in the long run if a network must be revamped or replaced every time new equipment is purchased.

At BTS we know it’s just as important for a business to be able to rely on who they get their service from. Whether it’s internet, telephony or unified communications– creating a network infrastructure will only be as reliable as the knowledge and experience behind it. There’s a saying that learners inherit the earth while the learned are equipped to deal with a world that no longer exists. That’s why rather than simply relying on our decades of experience, our BICSI certified technicians will always be ahead of the curve when it comes to upcoming advances in communications technology.
